Danny Holtgraver was born October 28, 1989, and has been racing for most the time since. He began his racing career behind the wheel of a go kart, where he spent seven years honing his skills. During that time, Danny collected several wins at numerous tracks in and around western Pennsylvania, including Good Hope Speedway, Pine Hill Speedway, Blanket Hill Speedway, and others. From those wins came three track championships, two of which he earned in his first season at Good Hope.

His first big stepping stone towards racing in the full-sized, 410 CC sprint car that he races today came briefly after his time in the go karts, when he entered the first of his three years in a microsprint. In the microsprint, he enjoyed success similar to that which he had in go karts. He raced at tracks such as Mercer Raceway Park, Path Valley Speedway, and Allegheny Mountain Speedway, and earned an impressive number of wins in the brief time. His greatest highlight during this time was possibly his victory at a $500 to win race at Mercer.

In 2006, Danny finally strapped into a 410 sprint car at the age of sixteen. He spent his first season getting as much seat time as possible, racing at both Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park on a weekly basis, along with driving in a handful of races at Tri-City Speedway and Sharon Speedway. He had a relatively strong rookie season compared to most sprint car new comers, and he peaked with a second-place finish in a race at Mercer. From his rookie season, Danny also has bragging rights after finishing third in a race at Tri-City Speedway while holding off all-star champion, Greg Wilson. Danny completed the season in eleventh place in the overall point standings at Lernerville and sixth place at Mercer.

Danny's second season in the sprint car came in 2007, and it started with poor luck at East Bay Raceway in Florida. However, Danny quickly remedied that run with his first career feature win at Mercer the following week, after starting from second place. Two weeks later, he again started from second at Mercer and earned his second feature win. He continued to race weekly at both Lernerville, with a best finish of fifth on the season, and Mercer, where he finished third in the points standings. He again ran several races at other tracks throughout the season.

For the 2008 season, Danny has purchased a new Maxim Chassis and plans to continue to race at Lernerville Speedway on a weekly basis, while splitting races between Sharon Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park on Saturdays. Danny had a solid 2008, earning his third career win and several top-ten and top-five efforts along the way.
